“An interesting job today a section A pony with chronic laminitis, after discussions with myself Nick from intake vets and the owners we decided to go the Glushu route.

The pony was in a lot of pain and it hadn’t been shod before so a stressful and difficult possibility for the pony with traditional shoeing, I was lucky to have John Wright from Glushu on hand to advise me through what is actually a very simple step by step process.

I fitted the shoe with a polyurethane frog support insert and a simple pour in solepac. The result was immediate with the pony bearing weight and walking comfortably.

This is an excellent tool to utilise when nailing isn’t the best option for the horse/pony.
