From Morgan:
“This is my latest client an 8 year old Tinker. They have problems with Hoof wall separation and flares during the dry period in the summers. This horse has lost multiple shoes in the last few weeks and, unfortunately, became pretty much crippled on the hard ground in the pasture.
I found out about Glushu from the master farrier I was a student with. and I was sure Glushu glue on horseshoes would be a great solution for this horse.
I'm using Glushu because of the advantages of a nail free shoe and the versatility of glue on hooves that suffer from poor durability of overall health.
This horse is typical of horses have had really poor hoof quality and therefore the glue has helped the hooves get some rest from nails and holes in the wall. I also wanted to avoid lameness that horses with really thin walls get if the shoes are nailed on.
I found the shoeing process very easy and utilised the experience of my tutor and all of the online videos of Glushu being fitted. I decided to keep all of the flaps on the shoe because I wanted as much contact surface as possible for the glue.
It was a real joy seeing her trot out to her friends in the pasture afterwards.
Many thanks to Glushu from both me, the owner and maybe most of all the horse
I really recommend Glushu, it is a good product with solid, easy to use materials.”
