From Ronald Aalders:
“This is my client who has had a long battle with laminitis. It was so sever that it threatened to cause irreparable damage to coffin bone and hoof of this LF.
By cutting DDFT, as was done by the surgeons in equine clinic Lüsche in Germany, those risks were averted but did inevitably leave the horse with much less of the DDFT sling providing support to the coffin joint and navicular bone for one.
To compensate for this, but also to reduce the risk of subluxation of the coffin joint, extra caudal support is a must in this stage of the recovery of the horse.
Glushu allows a non traumatic application of the shoe, helpful in such high-end laminitis cases.”
