Farrier Report: Glushu for ringbone.

“Another new one today, Glushu's applied with the new prototype rocker pad.

These were applied to try and give a horse who is suffering from ringbone some more comfort. The main aim is to reduce the pressure of the arthritic joint with the rocker pad, by allowing the foot to breakover and land easily, and to reduce the concussion through the foot/joint.

The rubber Glushu will reduce concussion and we also have injected a soft pad material in between the sole and the rocker pad to reduce the concussion even more.

The horse walked away a lot more sure footed after these were applied so hopefully she is on the road to being 100% sound.”
