For those who follow this tenotomy case (therapeutic cutting of, in this case, the deep flexor tendon) performed in equine clinic Lüsche in Germany: the horse is doing well.


The increased sole depth and foot mass allowed me to dress the dorsal wall and give it a visually more pleasing shape.


Here perhaps I can warn against dressing the dorsal wall much too early, when the sole-wall junction, sole depth and foot mass are not yet developed enough to allow such a resection. Give it some time!


This shoeing package was glued, I used GluShu, a 3 degree wedge and used the predrilled blank stud holes to tap in thread holding my heel extension. Hoofpack used is Glue-U's ShuPack in shore 30.
