To maintain the health of horses, hooves are crucial. A compromised hoof can cause pain and limit movement, which is why farriers are always looking for better ways to care for horses. One promising development is the use of Glushu glue combined with a wedge for extra support. This method was effectively demonstrated by farrier Bart Lambert, who recently showcased his successful approach with a horse struggling with hoof issues.

Bart Lambert's case involved a horse that had severe movement challenges due to an improper hoof angle, as confirmed by x-ray imaging. This situation needed a well-planned intervention to enhance the horse's comfort and mobility. Glushu was chosen for this task because it offers a strong and flexible solution that molds to each hoof's unique shape. Adding a wedge was crucial in this situation, as it helped to correct the hoof angle, allowing for more effective treatment of the underlying problems.

 From Bart Lambert

"Here we have another of my clients using Glushu glue on horse shoes. In the x-rays showed a poor angle. Due to this I had to build up a wedge prior to shoeing. Then I placed a Glushu and build a wedge on the shoe to de-rotate the foot. Before Glushu the horse was limping and walking very slow, post Glushu  the horse is more in comfort and walking assuredly."

The application of Glushu and the wedge yielded remarkable results. The horse, which had previously exhibited limping and a sluggish pace, showed significant improvement after treatment. The enhanced comfort enabled the horse to walk more confidently, highlighting the importance of using the right materials and techniques in hoof care.

This approach illustrates how blending traditional farriery practices with advanced solutions can lead to better results. The success of this case underscores the need for personalized care plans that consider each horse's specific requirements.
